They’ve arrived

The books I have been hunting down. Just have to finish the crochet so I can play.
Quick question as I am sure some one knows how easy is it to see books in the British library as I would really like to see the original manuscripts some of these came from.

  1. You can search the BL catalogue in advance to check they have got them: http://www.bl.uk/reshelp/findhelprestype/catblhold/all/allcat.html
It’s also worth requesting them in advance as otherwise you have to wait for them to be delivered when you request them in the reading room.

If you haven’t already got a reader’s pass you’ll need to go along (in plenty of time as there’s usually a queue!) to Reader Registration. You’ll be asked what you want to see (they try and direct you to a public or university library if that’s more appropriate) and will also have to have two forms of id to get the pass.
